DOMINIC PERODEAU'S BIO:

Hello im Dominic Perodeau - Having come from a background in the United Kingdom trained in the 1980's on Honeywell mainframe computer systems - trained in early applications of Cobal, Unix, Pascal & Fortran  & Basic lanquage suites of the day - I initially interned at AL-Tukhaim Engineering a Kuwait based operation with a UK office where my role was to convert software to the Farsi Arabic script for the Middle East demographic,.

I then was employed by General Motors Vauxhall UK and trained on the dealer network interogation system and was one of the early users of the Bulletin Board (BBS) system which then was replaced by electronic mail, I have kept pace with software developments and used these skills throuhout my working career and my own companies I have built from the ground up - three in total and now use these in my daily role as a Builder of cross linked e-commerce platforms for the Quinte Area assisting local businesses & organisations with managing their online presance.

Have completly rennovated 4 homes in succession tasks included.

• Erected 60x25 Quonset building, Erected 35x26 Residential addition
• Wrap round canopy porch system, rewired house from disconnect/inspect/reconnect with Hydro Networks to code 
• Replaced sill plates and external walls - new exterior wood - each stud area spraysealed with R14 bats, 3M vapour barrier and external Typar wrap, Drywall & plasterwork.
• Replaced copper and waste system installed 4 piece bathroom suites and kitchens inc relocated 40 amp stove outlets to panel, clipped to floor joists.
• Levelled floors with jacks & new sill hangers laid ceramic tile & underheat flooring & laminate flooring over bonded Detra base - know difference between modified and non-modified compound.
• Installed HVAC ductwork and insulated seam joints
• Installed CAT5 network cables & ADT Home Automation products along with CCTV to autorecord & stream to iCloud based phone APP's to enable control from distance.

  Turned my hobby of restoring Land Rovers into a business with its own premises and 4 full time staff in a rural area operating as a full one stop shop for parts new & used and restoration & service with a customer base of 6700 customers on the books inc the Israeli IDF force sending new parts from the UK to ROW - built a good loyal base of customers and would host many non-profit events at the premises for visiting clubs and would also directly sponsor club events for the Ottawa Valley Land Rover Club,

  Collected from St Paul MN a decrepit New York Checker taxi and restored it from the ground up - then was contracted via a casting agent in Montreal to run the Toronto promotion of the relaunch of Maybelline Cosmetics to Maybelline NY, which involved coordination of 3 more identical liveried restored vehicles along with teams of drivers and PR girls to set up locations at key points and liaise with the media as well as the city ordinance to gain maximum exposure for the operation - whilst liaising with the props wranglers and PR staff running mirror events in Vancouver & Montreal. Aside from this I was also restoring full time many customers vehicles inc Toyotas and Land Rovers and with the latter was parting them out and marketing the parts on an eBay store and later developing the OS commerce store that was the backbone of the next venture.

  Bid for contract to deliver two rural mail routes in my area providing own vehicles - satisfactorily delivered in all weathers and conditions without a single day failure. Responsible for bringing in the CUPW to recognize rural contractors and was elected Chief Shop Steward for area from Belleville to Bancroft, featured in national media - resigned post as corporation refused to pay helper even though the tender conditions required one.

  Went in to buy a part and got offered a job - Great people worked through the summer learnt a lot of the value that selling one used part is more ROI than a single vehicle - very much enjoyed the work but had good sense to leave before winter - still friends to this day!

  Purchased a Mercedes 308 Sprinter van - restored it and had painted - advertised for small loads ended up with multiple customers as touted for business with fixed charge based upon radius rings of home city - became member of the Road Haulage Association, was early user of the internet 'Backload' system that would allow myself to tender to split loads at truckstops of main highways and then take into small towns and villages thats layout was too narrow for semi-trailers - job was highly lucrative earning on average 4 times gross of regular employment however fuel and operating costs were an ever growing issue - was able to adapt during UK fuel strike to using propane powered SUV and trailer and still make deliveries as the only person able to utilize this fuel system vs my competition - closed business week before emigration.
